His extensive experience as an editor, news anchor, producer, and consultant has positioned him as a pioneering force in storytelling, journalism, and media education.

In the realm of print journalism, Mr. MacCune has led prestigious editorial teams, shaping narratives that inform and influence. As Editor of Rashtriya Sahara English Magazine (1992-1998) and Correspondent for New Delhi Magazine (1986-1988), he spearheaded impactful reportage and investigative journalism. His editorial insights have shaped critical discourses in national media.

Transitioning into electronic media, he played a pivotal role in news production, documentary filmmaking, and broadcast journalism. He directed high-caliber news content and spearheaded large-scale election coverage, including the UP Assembly Elections for ATN Channel. His ability to craft compelling documentaries is evident in his acclaimed productions for Doordarshan, covering themes like Indian handicrafts, wildlife conservation, poaching, and Rajasthan tourism. Notably, his documentary "People of Peace", produced for the Ministry of External Affairs, showcased his expertise in geopolitical storytelling.

Beyond his contributions to media, Mr. MacCune has devoted over 20 years to shaping the next generation of journalists and communication professionals. He revolutionized media education, designing industry-aligned curricula, mentoring budding media professionals, and fostering an ecosystem of experiential learning.
