Aurangzeb Naqshbandi is an accomplished journalist and media executive, currently serving as Country Head at Pixstory, a US-based digital platform, since January 16, 2021.
With an extensive journalism career spanning over two decades, he has held key positions at Hindustan Times as Special Correspondent, Senior Assistant Editor, and Associate Editor from June 1, 2008, to January 15, 2021. His journey began with United News of India (UNI) on December 1, 1999, where he worked across desk and reporting functions until May 31, 2008.
Aurangzeb has covered Indian politics, reporting on major parties like Congress, NCP, RJD, TMC, JD(U), BSP, SP, AAP, NC, PDP, and DMK. His expertise extends to defence, diplomacy, and the complex dynamics of Jammu and Kashmir.
He was part of the first-ever Indian journalist delegation to Pakistan, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), and Gilgit-Baltistan, and collaborated with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) on a documentary about Jammu and Kashmir.
Additionally, he was on the media delegation accompanying then PM Manmohan Singh to the ASEAN Summit in Brunei and Indonesia in October 2013. His opinion pieces are regularly featured in moneycontrol.com, Deccan Herald, The Federal, Mint, NetIndian, NewsDrum, Raisina Reports, and The Daily World.
